We have the world’s best friends and family. I’ve been thinking about writing a post on how many visitors we’ve had (and dragged out to the house) during the year that we’ve lived in Michigan. As I started going through photos, I realized (a) I am missing photos of so many of you who have visited!! Please send ’em along if you have them… but also (b) you’ve all helped out in a million big and not-so-big ways along this journey, and we are the luckiest people ever. So, THANK YOU to the old friends who’ve visited (Cbus folks, you have no idea what it means to us to see your faces up here); the new friends who’ve helped us make the riverbank, at least, feel like home; and our super duper families for maybe not telling us when they really and truly thought we’d lost our minds with this house purchase.
Our first visitors (I think?), J & F:
Boat house re-roof crew:
Winter stroll with L & C:
Pond hockey with J & M:
World’s best invasive plant ID squad, A & S:
Kayaking with K, A & P:
Out to dinner with S & J (top) and C (bottom):
For some reason when B’s brother and his girlfriend visited, all I did was take photos of the dogs. So here’s Simon with his BFF Tucker…
…But here’s the rest of B’s family, from earlier today!
And a shot from our Labor Day cookout yesterday, with Cbus friends J & A and many of our very favorite people in Michigan. Here’s to you all, because what good is a new house without awesome people to fill it with? Come back soon!
Awwww, so sweet! You know I'll come back when “my” guest room is ready 😉
We can't wait to come back up with HG! He needs some xoxo time with Auntie Katy and lessons to be learned from Uncle Brandon, I see them exchanging many ideas in the future.
We can't wait to have guests as soon as the guest room is open for business! 🙂 C, you have to beware introducing HG to Uncle Brandon, or HG will come home with six new large-scale hobbies. 😉 I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET HIM! Let us know when you guys are all settled into a routine and we will try to get down to Cbus. xoxo
